Rogue Games

Games so good that they sneak up on you.

Submissions Guidelines

Rogue Games is accepting submissions. We are always interested in original ideas for new games, supplements and adventures for all of our games. So how do you submit a submission? Read on.

Your first step is start with a query letter, which should be no no longer than two pages. When submitting a proposal for an adventure, the letter should include:

  • Title
  • Plot
  • Major themes
  • Summary of key encounter areas
  • A list of new rules or creations

Queries for other products should be of a similar nature.

Also make sure to include a list of published credits, as well as a writing sample showing your ability to complete the project you are proposing. In addition, you should also summarize your submission in one succinct sentence. (For example: "Colonial Gothic: a historical supernatural horror roleplaying game set in Colonial America.")

Submissions are evaluated on content, ideas presented, playability, fun potential, and the ability to execute the project. What does this mean? We want to know what your idea is, but also how much editing your work may require, and how confident we are that you can complete the assignment in a timely manner.

Submissions should be sent to submissions@rogue-games.net, and must be accompanied by a signed copy of our Idea Submission Agreement. This agreement can be signed, scanned and then emailed to us at submissions@rogue-games.net. If this is not possible, please email us at submissions@rogue-games.net and we will provide you with our mailing address.

We are always looking for art help, and willing to review portfolios. To submit art work for consideration, please send a link to your web site to submissions@rogue-games.net. If you need to send attachments, please do not send more than 2 MB worth.
