In Fourth Millennium: Future Imperfect, players assume the roles of officers of the Security and Intelligence Service of the Svobodan League. Living in a cosmos where Earth is a distant memory, long since overrun and absorbed by parahumans who have modified their physical and mental structure beyond recognition, the SIS engages in a shadow war to safeguard "un-emergent" humanity from extinction.

Fourth Millennium: Future Imperfect focuses on the struggle against enemy operatives, terrorists, criminals, shortsightedness within SIS itself, and the character's own consciences, creating a futuristic espionage roleplaying game unlike any other.

The year is 3001.
